Emma

Ok, that last post didn't have enough Emma pictures. So, for those of you who look at my blog just to see cute pictures of her, here is what you've been waiting for!

Emma helping me fold the laundry. Maybe that's why I never get it done, because we just play! Or maybe I'm just lazy, yeah that's probably it :)

Emma taking a bath. What a sweetie pie! She knows how to wash her hair all by herself! Her hair is growing...in the back anyway. We love making ponytails during bath time!

And this beautiful picture was taken about one month ago at Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kristen's wedding! Dave and I sure make some gorgeous babies!

Stay tuned for more pictures of that beautiful child of mine, and maybe a few crafts here and there ;)

Projects

Some of you may know I am a crafter. I love me some crafts! Or maybe I'm more of a home maker? Yeah, home maker sounds better to me! A few years ago I thought being crafty meant you liked things like latch hook and knitting. I wasn't sure why people would want to spend their time sitting around making washcloths and afghans. Note: I LOVE the washcloths my Grandma makes us every year for Christmas, LOVE THEM! and the pink afghan she made when Emma was born is so beautiful! It just seams like a lot of work and I never undstood how to make them(maybe I'm just jealous?) Anyway, I am always looking for ways to make our little living space cutter and when your buying cute nick nacks and pillows it starts to add up!

The first thing I tried to make were these cute litte flowers for Emma to wear in her hair.... ok so she still doesn't have hair, but she can still wear them on a head band!
Super easy to make, right? Just hot glued a alligator clip to a piece of felt and then glued it to the flower. Piece of cake! My next project would also involve flowers.
Not the best picture, but you can kind of see the flower in my hair, right? I learned how to make these from Cami over at http://www.youseriouslymadethat.blogspot.com/ Cami and I worked together at ZPR and I would have never guessed she was so talented and crafty! So I made a bunch of these for me and Emma. I just kept seeing cute flowers I wanted to make some out of ribbon some out of fabric and some out of paper.

These purple rosettes I made out of ribbon. I used the same technique as the hair flowers, but twisted a little tighter to make the flower a little smaller. Now all I need to do is get some more purple in my living room so this will fit in a little better :)

This cute brown flower I learned how to make from Vanessa Christensen over at http://www.vanessachristensen.com/. Love Vanessa, she used to live just over the mountain from where I grew up! I stole her pictuer because I've only made two of these flowers and I sent them both to my mom for mothers day. Should have taken a picture when I first made them! Vanessa also created the Abby Bag pattern I used to make my new diaper bag.
So cute right?! She's amazing!

Ok, this post is getting WAY too long so I'm gonna get to the good stuff! After doing a lot of hot glue crafts I thought it was time to start sewing again! I saw some cute pillows over at http://www.justanotherhangup.blogspot.com/ and HAD to try and make some for myself! Heres how they turned out!

Super cute gathered pillow. I think I need to make a light pink one for Emma's room!

More rosette flowers of course! I have to say that out of all of the projects I've done so far, this pillow is my favorite! So cute, but different then what you might see in a store. And I can say that I MADE IT! With a lot of help from Suzanne over at http://www.justanotherhangup.com/

This ones for you Aunt Kristen!

Emma's Aunt Kristen that is! Kristen has been reminding me that I need to update my blog. And she's right! Here are a few pictures of day to day life.

Emma in her chair she got for her Birthday. Reading a book she got for her Birthday. Won't be long until she's reading all by herself... ok maybe we're still a couple of years away from that.

Dave and I being our goofy selves. I had to get in at least one picture!

Ok, so maybe I'm in two pictures. This one was taken a couple of months ago on a family hike. Notice Emma's sticks shes holding, she loves being outside!

My two explorers! Aren't they cute in their matching head lamps? Emma wants to be just like her Daddy!

Emma loves spagetti. The proof is all over face!
Why did I let her eat spagetti in a white shirt?!?! At least she had a bib on, for once in her life.

Come back soon for more cute pictures of our wonderful little family!

Yearly Post :)

I'm really going to try to be better at this blog thing. The problem is I love reading other people's blogs which leaves me no time to write my own... bad excuse. So what has been happening in the lives of the Harding family. LOTS! Here is how our year went...

Emma Raye had her 1st Birthday February 1st. Of course we had a Party for her.

This picture is from her actual Birthday. She destroyed that cupcake!

And another cupcake at her Birthday party.
(note home made birthday hat and birthday sign)

Birthday girl with Grandma Harding
(I also made her Birthday outfit, with help from Grandma of course)

Our dear Uncle and Brother Michael left to serve a two year misison in Africa. I don't know how he'll be able to sleep without his glow worm.

Emma had a very Merry 1st Christmas. And as you can see she loved sitting on Santas lap!

We had one very drunk turkey for Thanksgiving! Delicious!

We had lots of co-showers! Aren't they cute?

Sit Boo Boo sit... good dog. Emma loves playing with her cousin Riley. We also just welcomed a new member to our family, Max. Pictures to come in a future post.

Emma loves bed time stories especially with her daddy!

We had a wonderful week in Cape Cod this summer. We are also so happy to welcome another sister into our family!

Another Cape Cod picture. Emma is a water baby just like her dad!

We also had lots of nap! Uncle John makes a guest appearence

Emma and I were able to take a trip to Utah in October. This is me with my Grandma

Dave just off enjoying his job.

Dave and I took a whirlwind one day trip to New York. I went to my first Broadway musical, Wicked!

My mom came to Maryland for a visit to meet her newest Granddaughter. It was so much fun to have her here! We miss you!!

As you can see the Hardings had and amazing year! Hopefully 2011 will be just as fun and exciting! Stay tuned for our next post! Sooner than next year, we promise!
